100pc Increase in salaries of Punjab secretariat allowance for workers of the Punjab civil secretariat, the governor’s house/secretariat, and the chief minister’s office from 50% to 100% of the monthly basic pay of bps-2022 announced by the government of Punjab’s finance department.

From January 1, 2023, all government workers (BPS-1 to BPS-22) who work for the Punjab government in the civil secretariat, governor’s residence, governor’s residence secretariat, and chief minister CM residence will get a 100% allowance. The government workers who are not a part of these offices will experience a new discrepancy as a result of this decision. Federal employees’ pay has grown along with that of the federal government. The prolonged economic crisis also affects other employees working in the education, health, and local government sectors, yet the government is not boosting their pay.

The Governor of the Punjab is pleased to increase the rates of Civil Secretariat Allowance from 50% to 100% of monthly basic pay of Basic Pay Scales 2022 with effect from 01.01.2023 to the employees of Punjab Civil Secretariat departments, Governor’s House/Secretariat, and Chief Minister’s Office who are drawing benefits under Finance Department’s letter of No. FD.PR.2-1/2009 dated 26.05.2018 & 22.07.2022 (copies enclosed).

In light of Notification No. FD.PR.12-7/2018 dated 29.07.2019, Officers receiving Executive Allowance result of Notification No. FD.PR.12-7/2018 dated 27.04.2021 and later Notification(s) issued respect  ineligible for the issuance Civil Secretariat Allowance (copy enclosed). For the purposes of calculating a pension or commutation, the aforementioned allowance  not  considered compensation.
