Higher Education Commission HEC announces Stipendium Hungaricum has announced the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarships for 2023-24. This is a great opportunity for Pakistani students to pursue their higher education in top universities across Europe. The scholarship enables youth to receive world-class education at some of the best universities around the globe.

The Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarships offered by the Hungarian Government and administered by HEC announces Stipendium HungaricumPakistan through its online portal, Study in Hungary. It is aimed at providing financial support to promising young Pakistani students want to continue their studies abroad. The program covers tuition fees and living expenses such as accommodation, food allowance and health insurance, giving students an excellent chance to pursue an international degree without any burden of financial constraints. Additionally, applicants can also opt for language courses or internships during their stay in Hungary if they wish.

STIPENDIUM HUNGARICUM SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME

The Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Program (2023–24), established by the Hungarian Government for Bachelor’s, Master’s, One-Tier Master’s, and PhD studies, is now accepting applications from Pakistani/AJ&K nationals. ​

SCHOLARSHIP TYPES

For Pakistani students who meet the basic eligibility requirements in a particular discipline and other requirements of Hungarian universities, the following programmes offer Stipendium Hungaricum scholarships:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree (after 12 years education)
  2. One-Tier Master’s Degree (after 12 years education)
  3. Master’s Degree (after 16 years education)
  4. PhD Degree (after 17/18 years education) 

​​FINANCIAL COVERAGE

Living expenditures for scholarship recipients are only partially covered by the housing and health financing requirements. It implies that the students must contribute additional funds to pay all living expenditures in Hungary since it does not entirely cover all living expenses.

The Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC) defines the scholarship types and designated study fields, and these criteria also outlined in the educational cooperation programmes that currently in place between Hungary and the sending partner, which is Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.

Note: Applicants’ merit will be determined on basis of their first-choice programAfter reaching Hungary, change of study field to higher merit discipline is not allowed.​

Vacant Positions:

This Stipend Hungaricum Scholarship Program 2023–2024 administered by the HEC in partnership with the Tempus Public Foundation Hungary.

Only a portion of these scholarship recipients’ living expenses are covered by housing and health insurance. This means that students must contribute additional funds to pay all living expenses in Hungary since it does not entirely cover them.

Eligibility Criteria

Students from AJK and all parts of Pakistan are eligible to apply for scholarships. Students in the final year of the programme or those awaiting results are eligible to apply.

The scholarship has an 18-year-old minimum age requirement, and those who were born before September 1, 2005, are eligible to apply.

Bachelor’s (Undergraduate Programs) and One-Tier Master’s Degree Programs

  • Before August 1st, 2022, applicants must have finished their HSSC/Intermediate Qualifications.

Master’s (Postgraduate Programs)

  • Before August 1, 2023, students must have finished a 16-year bachelor’s degree or its equivalent.

Ph.D. Programs

  • Before August 1, 2023, students must have earned a Master’s, MS, MPhil, or equivalent degree.
