The Higher Education Department (HED) of Pakistan has announced toHED Extends Closing Date for all public sector colleges admissions for the intermediate and bachelor programs. The HED made this announcement in an effort to provide students with more time to apply, so they can make sure they have a chance at getting into their desired college.
The HED has extended the deadline by one month and will now close on November 30th, 2021. This extension is applicable to all public sector colleges offering intermediate and bachelor courses including medical, law, engineering and architecture programs.The HED encourages students who want to pursue higher education not to miss out on this opportunity as it may be their last chance at getting admission into a prestigious institute orcollege. The HED also mentions that any application submitted after the June 30th deadline will not be accepted and all students are advised to submit their applications within the new extended date.
The HED has been working hard to provide more access to higher education in Pakistan, especially for those whose financial backgrounds may prohibit them from attending private institutions. HED has also implemented several initiatives such as scholarships, fee waivers and subsidized tuition fees at public sector colleges in order to make higher education accessible for everyone.
Candidates who want to apply for admission to the intermediate and bachelor programmes must submit the admission form and any necessary supporting documentation. Candidates who did not submit the HED’s requested documentation will continue to be denied admission to the available degree programmes. Additionally, candidates must include accurate information on the entrance form. Any incorrect information will result in the cancellation of the candidates’ admission and harsh action from the authorities. Students given admission based on their qualifications and a merit system developed by the Higher Education Department.
